Muscle Release Therapy (MRT)
Muscle Release Therapy (MRT)
Muscle Release Therapy or MRT, is a manual technique which aims to target muscle adhesions better known as “trigger points” or “knots”. These commonly tender and painful nodules lie within the tightened muscle fibers and fascia, and when left untreated and irritated, may trigger a referral of pain to other areas of the body, sometimes even eliciting headaches. MRT may also be used to alleviate nerve related symptoms, or other injuries such as tennis/golfers’ elbow, achilles tendonitis, plantar fasciitis or back/neck pain to name a few.
